What Is IELTS ?

International English Language Testing System(IELTS), is widely recognised as a language requirement for immigration and further higher education. It is the chosen language test of many universities in UK, Australia, New Zealand and North America.

IELTS assesses whether you are proficient to study or train in English. It tests your ability to read, write, speak and listen in academic or general training contexts.

IELTS is developed and managed by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES), the British Council and IDP Education Australia.

IELTS tests the complete range of English language skills which is experienced by students when studying or training in the medium of English.

IELTS
has two Modules: Academic and General.The modules consists of four papers-

Listening
Speaking
Reading
Writing

Academic is must for candidates planning to undertake higher education. General Training is for those candidates planning to undertake non academic training or work experience, or for immigration purposes.

IELTS is accepted by many professional organisations including the New Zealand Immigration Service, Canadian Immigration Service, the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, the Australian Medical Council, the UK General Medical Council and the UK Ministry of Defence.
